This gauge is manufactured with an LCD display screen, inch/mm change button & on/off/zero button. It requires 1 x AG13 (LR44) 1.5V button cell battery which is supplied. It can be used in inch or mm measurements & the zero setting makes the gauge more accurate to test & measure. The depth should be measured over 75% across the tyre as this will check for wear pattern due to any deficiency in tracking, breaking or tyre pressure. Tyres at 3mm should be considered to be changed as below this can affect the stopping distance of your vehicle. Tyre tread must be above 1.6mm to be legal.
