We are located within the historic Bickford Smith Safety Fuse Works of Tuckingmill, built in 1832 by William Bickford, the inventor of the safety fuse. This site played an important role in mining and industry locally and worldwide, and the factory also contributed to the war efforts in both World Wars. We are proud to be part of this rich heritage and to preserve the legacy of this landmark building.
